This feature allows you to password protect any directories or pages. For example if you have a members only protected area, you can create a directory called "members" and anyone that tried to access www.yourdomain.com/members/ would need an ID and password. ID's and passwords are supplied by you and can be setup through the control panel. There are also scripts available that give you more power and features than what is offered by our services. The account manager is a very powerful and useful script. There are both free and paid versions of the script available.



Because you will be taking customer's credit card information over the web, you must make sure that it is encrypted from the rest of the world. To accomplish this, you need to use a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) server. All of our world class service plans include the SSL feature for free! This will allow you to secure any directory, web page or shopping cart system through our secure server, with no restriction of use. Our secure server also works with our shopping cart and most standard ones. Our secure server uses 128-bit encryption technology to ensure complete protection of your customer's information.

You will be allowed to use our shared SSL server, but if you prefer to use your own certificate, then you may do so. The only difference in using your own certificate is the web address, as the protection and security is the same. There are many certificates available online such as:

There is a $25 one-time setup fee to install a certificate onto an account. The url to secure your web pages would be in one of the following formats:

Now you must decide on how you are going to accept and process your orders. If you are moving your existing store, you will need to make sure that your ordering system (ex: shopping cart) and merchant account solutions are backwards compatible. If you are starting from scratch, then review the options below for more detailed information.




One of your options is to use a standard html order form, such as the one we use for this site. Click Here for an example order form. This type of order form is standard HTML. It allows you to fully customize your web site with any kind of order form. This is standard HTML coding, which is freely available.




The most popular method of processing orders is to use a shopping cart system. All of our service plans include the all powerful Dansie shopping cart. This professional shopping cart is easy to use as it resides on our main server but allows you to insert html coding into your web page for a customizable look and feel. You can customize our shopping cart to look exactly like your web site's layout, while keeping the navigation simple! Our multi-page shopping cart (both html and database version) is designed to handle nearly every possible electronic commerce need. We provide full documentation on how to edit your pages and the shopping cart. We also have a free demonstration available to give you an idea how this cart works.

If the Dansie shopping cart system doesn't suit your needs, or if you are already using another cart, then you may purchase or use any other shopping cart that is available, as long as it can run on a UNIX server. You have complete and full access to your CGI-BIN, so you may add any scripts you would like. Do keep in mind that we are not able to provide support for any scripts or programs that we do not offer as we are not familiar with them.
